NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh on Monday for an on-the-spot assessment in the district that witnessed deadly communal riots about a week ago.
The Prime Minister will take stock of the situation during the visit, PMO sources said on Saturday.
He is expected to discuss the situation with chief minister Akhilesh Yadav in the wake of riots that have claimed 47 lives so far and may visit hospitals where the injured are admitted.
